The FA has considered a protest from Cockfosters FC on the playing of a suspended player in the above tie by Tokyngton Manor FC and after receiving submissions from Tokyngton Manor FC admitting that they had unintentionally played Jon Cardy, The FA Vase Committee have decided that Tokyngton Manor FC are guilty of a breach of Competition Rule 15(c) by playing an ineligible player and in accordance with The FA Vase Committee’s discretionary powers, Tokyngton Manor FC are removed from the Competition and Cockfosters FC reinstated.
It was further decided that there would be no fine imposed as removal from the Competition is deemed sufficient punishment. The prize fund payment of £800 is now awarded to Cockfosters FC.
The Second Round Qualifying will now be Cockfosters v Bucks Student Union (BSU) to be played on Saturday 19 September 2009.
