Chalfont St Peter manager Danny Edwards is hoping his side do not have to go through the lottery of a penalty shootout again, as they prepare to take on Glossop North End in the first leg of their FA Vase Semi-Final on Saturday.
The Buckinghamshire-based side scraped through their Sixth Round tie after beating Needham Market 6-5 on penalties after a replay, but Edwards is hoping for an easier route through this time.
"I hope penalties aren't needed. I'm only 29 but I look more like 49 after that," said Edwards.
"No-one wants to be eliminated in that fashion at this stage of the competition and I would rather it was settled in normal time, though I won't complain if that's what it takes.
"It's a two-legged game against Glossop, though, so with a bit of luck they won't be needed."
Chalfont St Peter are looking to win The FA Vase for the first time and Edwards explained the run has been fantastic for both the club and the community.
"We are a tiny side with a tiny budget, playing in small grounds, and it is great for us to be in this position. If we can make it to The Final, we could secure the club's future and hopefully encourage other people to come and see our games," he said.
"It's great for the area too and the supporters who have really got into it. Posters have been put up, the media are covering it and there's a real buzz about the place.
"It's a slight disadvantage to play at home first as Glossop will come at us, but really it's too close to call. It will all come down to who adjusts and copes best with the pressure."
