Wisbech Town will look to capitalise on a good run of form as they travel to Witham Town in the Third Round Proper of The FA Vase on Saturday.
Wisbech manager Steve Appleby has enjoyed a good run in The Vase, conceding no goals in the tournament as of yet and recently brushing off Racing Club Warwick 1-0.
Appleby admits it would have been nice to put a few more in the back of the Warwick net but the end result is what they wanted.
"We're in a great run of form at the minute and although it wasn't the greatest of places to go and play football we did a job at Warwick," said Appleby.
"Ryan Rayner (Wisbech 'keeper) didn't have much to do and although we had a couple of chances at the end to kill the game off, it's only the result that matters.
"We had to go there and do a job, to do enough to come away with a win and that's what The Vase is all about."
Wisbech's away form has been inconsistent this season but Appleby, looking back on his time as a player at the club, hailed the importance of the supporters who have followed Wisbech through Vase success.
With the help from fans, Appleby and his boys go into the next fixture against Witham Town with confidence and a focus on progressing further in The Vase.
Appleby added: "It would have been nice for the club and the supporters to have been drawn at home in the Third Round but it doesn't bother me that we're away.
"As a player it was good to hear the fans because it lifts you and the supporters did that for the lads at Warwick.
"We did need them and I always loved it when I was a player here, or as a manager now, because the fans are never shy in supporting us."
