Forthcomimg Fixtures The draw for the Third Round Proper of The FA Carlsberg Vase, made at Wembley on Monday, has given a home tie to holders Whitley Bay.
The Northern League side started their defence with a 4-1 home win against Tadcaster Albion on Saturday and will now entertain Bridlington Town from the Northern Counties East League at Hillheads Park on 3 December.
Dunston UTS, another Northern League outfit, racked up 12 goals in Saturday’s tie with Blackwell MW and will hope to have their shooting boots on again as they take on Parkgate of the Northern Counties East League at Wellington Road. Parkgate edged former Finalists Bedlington Terriers 4-3 at the weekend.
Diss Town, the 1994 winners, go to South Park from the Reigate area in Surrey and there’s a real ‘local derby’ in east London where Bethnal Green United and Sporting Bengal United, who share Mile End Stadium, will be playing each other in The Vase.
All the Third Round Proper winners pick up £1,500.
