Vase fever was alive this weekend once again as teams across the land battled for a place in The Third Round of The FA Carlsberg Vase.

Squires Gate made sure they were in the hat for the next round as they beat Winsford United 3-1 at home.

Both sides battled well and it took extra time to separate them but there was no such trouble for Runcorn Town as they ran out 2-0 winners away at Glasshoughton Welfare.

And how about Dunston UTS? It was raining goals down there as they thumped the Blackwell Miners by an incredible scoreline of 12-1.

It was a lot closer as Bridlington Town edged a tight encounter with Gillford Park 1-0, while Glossop North End beat Billingham Town 4-2.

Newcastle are flying high in the Premier League and their Non League counterparts are doing well in The Cup top.

The lower league Toon won 2-1 at home to Barton Town while West Auckland beat Bacup Borough 3-1.

Elsewhere, Crook Town stole a 4-2 win at Billingham Synthonia and Armthorpe Welfare ran out 3-1 winners at Eccleshill Utd.

Bedlington Terriers were involved in a thrilling encounter with Parkgate as they won 4-3 while Tadcaster Albion were defeated 4-1 at Whitley Bay.
