Two of the favourites for The FA Vase drew a crowd of 419 to the Moat Ground on a testing Saturday afternoon.

But any hopes King's Lynn had of causing an upset on their travels began to disappear when Richard Hanslow gave Gresley the lead going into the half-time break.

The local striker, known as "Itchy", is already something of a hero at the club having rejoined them this summer after a spell in the Leicester Senior League with Ashby Ivanhoe where he scored over 50 goals.

King's Lynn battled valiantly to try and salvage something from the tie but there was no coming back after Royce Turville, a regular scorer at this level, added Gresley's second goal after the break.
