There were goals aplenty in The FA Trophy Preliminary Round on Saturday, with 49 ties taking place.
The competition, now in its 41st year, ends with the annual Wembley showpiece Final in May, won last year by Stevenage Borough.
And while some of the bigger names are yet to play in this season's competition, plenty of sides today showed the type of performance necessary to make it all the way to the Home of Football.
On a day of closely fought matches upand down the country, Manchester's Radcliffe Borough were top scorers, running out 6-3 winners against Derbyshire-based Mickleover Sports.
FC Halifax Town edged out Trafford 4-3 in a thriller at the Shay, while Ramsgate were made to work hard for their 3-2 victory over Leyton. Enfield Town posted a convincing 4-0 victory over Eastbourne Town, while Warrington Town and Essex side, Concord Rangers, enjoyed comfortable wins. However, a replay will be required between Leatherhead and Thamesmead Town after the evenly-matched sides played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at Fetcham Grove.
Meanwhile, Lowestoft Town, Semi-Finalists last year, began this season's campaign with a 4-1 triumph over Redbridge.
Three further Preliminary Round ties take place on Sunday.
