Kingstonian manager Alan Dowson believes his side are capable of emulating the club's FA Trophy legends.
The K's famously lifted the cup at Wembley in 1999 and repeated that feat a year later, both under manager Geoff Chapple, but current boss Dowson believes that the new era at Kingsmeadow is just as exciting.
Since taking over as manager in 2007, Dowson won promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division and his side are currently sitting pretty in third place.
"It's a new era at Kingstonian now," said Dowson. "We won The FA Trophy back-to-back in previous years, but that was a long time ago and we have come a long way since then. We won the league and are doing really well at the moment.
"Geoff Chapple is a club legend, if he rings up to give me some advice then of course I would take it, but it's a new time at the club now."
Kingstonian play Chippenham Town in the Third Round Qualifying at Kingsmeadow on Sunday and Dowson knows what to anticipate.
"I am expecting a tough, tough match," he revealed. "We're in different leagues and have never played them, but we've seen them play and know their weaknesses and we also know their strengths.
"They have a lot of pace about them, they are dangerous and can perform, but we just have to perform better on the day."
Dowson is rightly proud of his achievements at the club and is optimistic that his squad are good enough to go far in the competition this year.
"We won promotion last year and are currently riding high in the league. My squad here is fantastic and the boys want to win and believe that they can," he added.
"Bobby Traynor is the best striker in the league. He shows that week-in week-out by always popping up with a goal and getting his name on the score sheet."
