Stevenage Borough 6-0 Vauxhall MotorsThe FA Carlsberg TrophySecond Round Proper7.45pm, Tuesday 19 January 2010Broadhall Way, Stevenage Borough FCWinning clubs receive £6000 from The FA's prize fund Click here for results FA Trophy holders Stevenage Borough went goal crazy on Tuesday night, as they reached the Third Round Proper in style and took one step nearer to successfully defending their title.Facing Vauxhall Motors at Broadhall Way, it took Boro just over 20 minutes to break the deadlock when skipper Mark Roberts bundled a volley home from the right-hand side of the area.Lee Boylan then doubled their advantage with a close range finish after receiving a cross from the right and it remained 2-0 at the break, before Graham Westley's team really turned it on in the second half.They scored four goals in the last 16 minutes of the game, as the long journey from the north-west undoubtedly hit the legs of the Motors players. tThere was little they could do to stop David Bridges' cooly taken volley from inside the area in the 74th minute, before he added another two minutes later with a low left-footer from the edge of the area.Substitute Andy Drury then classily made it 5-0 with a curling shot in the 78th minute before Stacy Long completed the scoring with a fine chip to firmly secure Boro's place in the next round."We never underestimate any side," admitted Westley after the game. "We knew Vauxhall Motors were bottom of the league, but these can be difficult games for players psychologically."We wanted to be professional and ruthless enough in doing the job.
