Salisbury City will have to overcome a 1-0 deficit against Barrow this weekend as both teams battle it out for a Trophy Final appearance at Wembley.
Gregg Blundell's second-half strike proved enough for the Bluebirds to swing a relatively even encounter in their favour last weekend, but despite his side being unable to make the most of their home advantage in the first leg, City manager Tommy Widdrington is confident his side can still progress to The Final.
"We were 1-0 down at half time recently in a league game against York , but managed to win 2-1," he said. "This time, we are 1-0 down against Barrow at half time with 90 minutes still to play.
"My players have had a lot to put up with this season and it has been an uphill task for them. I would never have dreamt we would be in this position at the beginning of the season, and now hopefully I can help the players get to Wembley.
"We've had financial restrictions at the club this season which has been difficult, so getting to The Final would be great for the club."
Just six points separate the two sides in the Conference Premier League table, and Salisbury will take confidence from having already beaten Barrow 3-0 this season but Widdrington does not believe league form should be taken into account in The Trophy.
"I don't really think league form matters. Their players will be confident having only just beaten us at the weekend, but we are capable of going there and getting a result," he added.
