Stevenage Borough ended Ebbsfleet United's dreams of a return to Wembley after Peter Vincenti's injury-time winner booked 'Boro's place in The FA Trophy Final.

Graham Westley's men will play York City in The Final on May 9 after a 4-2 aggregate win over Trophy holders United.

While Vincenti's match-winning strike stole the headlines, Westley paid tribute to rookie Michael Bostwick after his imperious display at the heart of the 'Boro defence.

"'Bozzie' was my man-of-the-match. He was the stand out player for us - he is only 20 but he has everything," a delighted Westley said.
"He is a massive player for us - a brilliant young man."

Stevenage were indebted to goalkeeper Chris Day (pictured above) after a string of stunning saves ensured his team reached their third Trophy Final.

Leading 3-2 from the first leg, Stevenage had to withstand a barrage of attacks from Ebbsfleet and Day's save to deny Stacy Long was sublime.

As Liam Daish's men threatened to end 'Boro's dreams, up popped substitute Vincenti with virtually his first touch of the game to send Stevenage to Wembley.

And after seeing his side make it to the home of football, Westley hailed his side's ability to cope with the pressure.

"It was an important win," he added. "We are through to Wembley and it shows we can handle the big occasion."
