The FA Carslberg Sunday CupThe FinalSunday 26 April 20092pm, Anfield, Liverpool FCWinning club will receive £2000, losing club will receive £1000Scots Grey skipper Mark Green is hoping that having the majority of an Anfield crowd cheering on their opponents can act as an incentive for them this Sunday. The Nottingham team will have their fair share of backing at The Final, but given that they’re facing Oyster Martyrs who are based just ten minutes away from Anfield, Green knows that the vocal backing will no doubt be with the Liverpudlians.“They will probably have more support on the day than we will and I imagine they will go into it as favourites with their fans behind them and the reputation they’ve got,” admitted the midfield ace.“It could hopefully inspire us though and we can be big enough to stand up to that and prove ourselves nationally, as well as locally and to ourselves, that we are as good as we believe we are.“Whilst we don’t know too much about them, if you’re playing in a Cup Final it doesn’t matter who you’re playing against, as they’ve got there on merit too and will be a good side.”Green, who has been playing for Scots Grey for well over a decade now, admits that Sunday will be the pinnacle of his time with the club and is now just hoping to top that off with a memorable win and Cup success. “It’ll be tremendous to lead the team out at Anfield,” he admitted.“It’s been a terrific run for us this season. I’ve been playing for the club for about 11 years now and we’ve been trying to do well in this competition for the last four or five seasons, but I don’t think any of us expected to get this far.”
