Sunday Cup draw

Two of the four clubs in this afternoon’s Semi-Final draw have already played in a Final and those two have now been paired together.

Northampton Duke of York from the Northamptonshire Sunday Combination lifted The Sunday Cup after beating Allerton at Anfield in 2003. They edged Mariners 2-1 in yesterday’s Fifth Round tie and have now been handed a Semi-Final against Oyster Martyrs, a Liverpool side who lost to Scots Grey in the 2009 Final.

Paddock, another Liverpool & District Sunday League outfit and Sunday Cup Semi-Finalists three years ago, face Comets Sports Club from the Berkhamsted Sunday League in Hertfordshire in the other Semi-Final.

The Semi-Final venues will be announced in due course. The Final is scheduled for 1 May, at a venue still to be confirmed.
