Despite a career laden with trophies, including the World Cup, Manchester City midfielder Patrick Vieira can't hide his excitement at being in another Wembley FA Cup Final.

The former Arsenal man has fond memories of The FA Cup and Wembley winning the trophy four times in his time with the north London club, the first of which came at the old Wembley.

Vieira told FATV: "I remember the first time I played at Wembley in The FA Cup Final with Arsenal in 1998. It is still a fantastic Stadium and always exciting. The fans, the atmosphere; it is a lovely day. We always say to play The Final is really good but only if you win it."

The Frenchman is confident that City can lift the trophy provided they continue the form they have shown in reaching The Final.

"I think in this competition we’ve been fantastic, we’ve had difficult games but we managed to win them all even if we had to play a replay. I think in the last few months we have been terrific, we have had a few players coming back from injuries and the squad is really strong.

"We just need to enjoy it and play with commitment, desire and togetherness and we can win."

The midfield enforcer is aware of Stoke’s style of play but is confident the Citizens can overcome their physical style.

"Everybody knows how Stoke play and we just have to deal with it. We get used to it and we have to be prepared, but we know what to expect. What is important is for us to impose our game and to dictate the game and don’t give them any chance."
