The Sheffield & Hallamshire FA representative team have reached the Semi-Final of The FA Youth County Cup for the first time in years and face their Lancashire counterparts this weekend at Hillsborough.

Made up from the brightest and most talented youngsters from the County FA region’s affiliated teams including Askern Villa, Athersley Recreation, Chesterfield College, Handsworth, Matlock FC, Sheffield FC, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Wickersley Youth and Wombwell Main, this game will be a great honour and experience for the players of both teams.

The Sheffield & Hallamshire FA would like to thank Sheffield Wednesday for allowing the representative team to host this fixture at Hillsborough and would like to encourage all fans of football in the region to come down and support the team.

The players and management have battled through extreme weather, postponements and rearranged fixtures to successfully reach this stage and are now one step away from The Final so the match promises to be a great Cup tie.

Sheffield & Hallamshire last won The FA Youth County Cup back in 1964, so everyone connected with the representative team are absolutely thrilled at the achievements and progress made in this season’s competition.

Entrance fee is only £2, with children admitted free when accompanied by an adult.  All proceeds from the gate are ploughed back into the grassroots football development and the representative team.
