2018-2020 ESTC membership announcement

Please read our latest update regarding the status of your 2018-2020 ESTC membership

Thursday 18 Jun 2020
The 2018-2020 ESTC membership will remain 'active' until July 2021 for the purpose of EURO 2020

Since our last update, we’ve seen the return of domestic football, albeit behind closed doors and the gradual lifting of some lockdown restrictions by the UK Government.

The postponement of EURO 2020 was a disappointment for us all, but we can’t wait to see you cheer on the Three Lions next summer. Yesterday, UEFA published the new fixture schedule for the tournament, which includes England's group match fixtures.

At the time of writing, the scheduled international fixtures for the remainder of 2020-2021 is not yet fully confirmed, however, The FA continues to work with UEFA and other participating nations to provide the best possible solution for all involved, so that once the footballing landscape is clear, we're ready to welcome international football back to Wembley Stadium.

What does this mean for 2018-2020 Travel Club members?

Your 2018-2020 Travel Club membership will expire on Sunday 12 July 2020. However, for the purpose of EURO 2020, it will remain ’active’ for Travel Club Members until Sunday 11 July 2021.

This is for two reasons:

  1. If restrictions on mass gatherings are lifted before the resumption of international football, we'll offer 2018-2020 Travel Club members the same ticket benefits you’ve received throughout the current campaign until 31 December 2020.

  2. We can ensure that existing 2018-2020 Travel Club Members are eligible to apply for any further tickets we can obtain from UEFA’s ticket return phases

If you're a current member, you do not need to take any action as the membership will automatically remain ‘active’ until 11 July 2021.

In order to be fair to existing members who missed out on EURO 2020 tickets during the December application period, we will not reopen the 2018-2020 Travel Club membership to new joiners. Further updates will be made regarding the availability of EURO 2020 tickets and the application process over the next few months.

Upgrading or renewing to the 2020-2022 membership

At this stage we're not able to confirm precisely when the 2020-2022 England Supporters Travel Club membership will commence. It is our intention to follow Government guidance and launch the new membership cycle once the restrictions on mass gatherings is lifted.  This unprecedented time has changed so much in our lives – not just personally but also operationally – which means that we are having to adapt the way we work in order to deliver a membership and matchday experience which provides value to you, our most loyal supporters.

This means that if you’re a member of the free England Supporters Club and you wish to upgrade in order to be eligible for Qatar 2022 tickets, you’ll need to wait until the new membership has launched in order to upgrade. We’ll communicate to ESC members when the new Travel Club membership has launched.

If you’re not already an ESC member and want to keep up-to-date with the latest Three Lions news, you can join now for free!

Existing Travel Club members who want to renew for the next campaign will be able to do so when the new membership is launched later in the year – please keep an eye on the website and emails for further updates.

Important: Only 2020-2022 members will be eligible for tickets to Qatar 2022 and the UEFA Nations League Finals (subject to England’s qualification and UEFA’s fixture calendar). So although the application process for Qatar 2022 is scheduled for 2021, as the tournament takes place in the next membership cycle, you will still need to renew in order to apply.
