Fran Kirby and Abbie McManus withdraw from England squad ahead of Brazil match

Fran Kirby hasn't played for England since the World Cup

Chelsea’s Fran Kirby and Manchester United’s Abbie McManus have withdrawn from the England squad ahead of the Lionesses’ trip to Middlesbrough to face Brazil on Saturday.

McManus and Kirby have both returned to their respective clubs.

Having trained with the Lionesses throughout the camp, Liverpool’s Melissa Lawley will now be named as part of Saturday’s matchday squad.

England have arrived in the north east to prepare for the sold-out fixture before travelling to Lisbon to take on Portugal at the Bonfim Stadium on Tuesday evening.
