Our annual Grassroots Football Survey for 2019 closes on Friday.
It encourages County FAs and the wider football family to provide feedback on the last year and set our goals for 2020.
Players, coaches, parents, supporters, volunteers, referees and club and league officials can all participate in our online survey and thus inform the way we allocate both funds and resources.
Since the survey started in 2015-16, we have received over 100,000 responses leading to millions spent on grassroots football across England.
And the Hertfordshire FA was one of the biggest beneficiaries from our last survey where FA funding resulted in the building of a number of new 3G football pitches and we also helped support the first female-focused level one coaching course.

“Following our feedback from last year's Grassroots Football Survey, the FA have helped us deliver in a range of areas that truly matter to our community,” says Hertfordshire FA CEO Karl Lingham.
“We've improved our facilities and supported more female coaches to get involved in the game.
“Our members made it clear they wanted more artificial grass pitches, too. And we are proud to say that we worked with local clubs and partners to deliver four new state-of-the-art artificial pitches across Hertfordshire.
“This includes transformation of our own facilities here at the County Ground [the headquarters of the Hertfordshire FA) with the site becoming a real community football hub, with activity taking place every day of the week.
“Female participation in football also continues to grow at an impressive rate across Hertfordshire, both at the youth and adult level. However, we are keen to see more women involved in the coaching side of the game.
“Previous feedback suggested that some women might be put off attending courses when the majority of students were male, so we wanted to see if we could change that by offering our first level one coaching course focused on females and the women’s game at large. This received a very positive response.
“The FA’s Grassroots Football Survey is a great opportunity for everyone to have their say on our national game. Customer insight is vital in helping us deliver a tailored service to meet the needs of the game in Hertfordshire.
“The results of this survey directly influence our decision making, helping us to understand what matters most to our community. This key information from within the game allows us to prioritise development and resources in these areas.
“We hope as many people as possible will take the opportunity to share their views via the survey. The input really does help shape what we do as a County FA, so the clearer picture we have of the needs of grassroots football in Hertfordshire the better placed we are to deliver.”
There is still time to participate in the 2019 FA Grassroots Football Survey and help shape the future of grassroots football in your area. You can participate online until Friday.
