The SSE Women’s FA Cup Final is almost upon us – and we want to make sure you are fully prepared for the biggest and best day in women’s football.

2017 winners Manchester City and first-time Finalists West Ham United will battle it out for the coveted prize on Saturday 4 May.

And here’s what you can expect from one of the most exciting days in the calendar:

1pm Fan zones open 
4pm Stadium opens
4.45pm Player warm-ups begin
5.15pm Player warm-ups end
5.23pm Players walk out of the tunnel
5.26pm National anthem
5.30pm Kick-off
6.15pm Half time
6.30pm Second half
7.15pm Full time

Should the scores be level after 90 minutes, half an hour of extra time will be played, followed by a penalty shootout if necessary.

Fan zones

Many fans like to get to Wembley early to soak up the unique Cup Final atmosphere – and with two fan zones in operation from 1pm on matchday, why not join them?!

Boxpark Fan Zone (Wembley Way)
Whet your appetite by watching the freestylers doing their thing outside the new Boxpark on Wembley Way, while a host of other activities will be taking place inside. Entry is free for all ticket holders but fans must register on the Boxpark website in advance.

SSE Wildcats Zone (Market Square)
If just watching the game isn’t enough and you feel the urge to kick a ball on Cup Final day, you can test your skills at the SSE Wildcats zone which will be located on Market Square, outside Sainsbury’s.

Food and drink

There are a number of places to eat and drink around Wembley, not to mention inside the stadium itself. If you’d like to bring your own snacks into the stadium, please make sure all food is in disposable packaging. And please note, tops will be removed from all soft drinks bottles brought into the stadium.

Alcohol will be served to over-18s inside the stadium, but you will not be allowed to bring alcoholic drinks to your seat.

Can I bring a bag?

One small bag, no larger than an A4 piece of paper, per person will be allowed into the stadium.

Permitted bag dimensions:

Height 297mm (11.7 inches)
Width 210mm (8.27 inches)
Depth 210mm (8.27 inches)

You will not be allowed to enter the stadium with any bag bigger than A4 size, for example a rucksack or laptop bag.

All matchday merchandise purchased from the Wembley Stadium store will be supplied in clear plastic bags and will be admissible.

Bag exemption certificate

If you need to bring certain items or equipment for medical reasons, please fill in a medical exemption certificate which you will need to bring with you on matchday.

MEDICAL EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE

Flags/banners

A flag/banner will be allowed into the stadium providing it is no bigger than 250cm at the widest or longest point. Flag poles must be made of plastic or wood – metal poles will not be allowed into the stadium. The flag/banner must not contain any advertising or commercial messaging nor any abusive or defamatory messaging.

Travel

Wembley Stadium is a public transport destination with a range of options available to supporters.

National Rail

Due to essential maintenance, Euston station will be closed between 4 and 6 May.

Wembley Stadium station (Chiltern Railways, direct to London Marylebone)
5-minute walk from the stadium

London Underground

Wembley Park Tube (Metropolitan Line and Jubilee Line)
5-minute walk from the stadium

Wembley Central Tube (Bakerloo Line)
15-minute walk from the stadium

As well as the Euston station closure, there may be some minor disruptions across the London Underground and Overground networks on matchday.

Coach

National Express is the Official Coach Supplier for Wembley Stadium and provides dedicated links for visitors to the stadium. Book your coach tickets for matchday from over 55 locations across the UK by calling 08717 81 81 81.

Car

For supporters wishing to drive please note there will be very limited spaces available at the stadium. Therefore we would strongly advise the use of public transport. If parking is required please book well in advance via Wembley Official Parking to guarantee your parking space. Blue badge parking is available to purchase via Wembley Official Parking.

It is likely that road closures will be in place for this event. We would advise you follow the below routes for allocated parking:

  • Yellow/Orange or Orange overflow parking via the A406, off Great Central Way B4557 South bound or Drury Way B4557 Northbound.
  • Red/York House parking via the Harrow Road A404 North or Southbound via the A406.

Bus

Local buses to the stadium include 18, 83, 92 and 224. London buses no longer accept cash, therefore any supporters travelling by bus will need to pay for the fare using an Oyster card or contactless payment card. A single adult fare is £1.50.
