Kieran Gibbs and his West Brom team-mates will travel to Anfield in the fourth round

A video assistant referee [VAR] will be in place for the Emirates FA Cup fourth round clash between Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion.

It will be the fourth tie to use a VAR this season.

History was made on Tuesday night when Kelechi Iheanacho became the first player in English football to score a goal after consultation with a video assistant referee as Leicester edged Fleetwood in a third round replay.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, seven-time Cup winners, will entertain West Brom at Anfield on Saturday 27 January (7.45pm), with the tie being broadcast live on BT Sport 2.

Each club will receive £144,000 from The FA’s broadcast fund while the winners will receive an additional £90,000 from The FA prize fund.
