Caps

If you're already looking ahead to Euro 2020 or are planning on attending any of England's upcoming away matches, we definitely recommend you start building up your caps level now by attending England friendlies or qualifiers at home.

Caps are allocated based on attendance – not when tickets are purchased. Existing members of the England Supporters Club and Travel Club receive 2 caps for attending England home friendlies or qualifiers. Members of the Travel Club receive 2 caps for attending England away friendlies or qualifiers.

In order for caps to be allocated correctly, members need to assign their fan number to their ticket at the point of purchase during the priority members’ sale. Once that ticket is then scanned at the turnstiles, your attendance will be recorded and updated onto your membership within a few days of the match.

Caps are only awarded for tickets purchased directly from The FA and no caps are awarded for attending tournament fixtures.  Caps cannot be retrospectively applied for matches that took place more than 21 days ago and it is the responsibility of the member to check their caps level.

Subject to England’s qualification and in the event that a tournament fixture is oversubscribed (meaning that registrations exceed the number of available tickets), a ballot will be undertaken using the caps system to fairly allocate tickets to members.

We recommend that if you plan on applying for tickets to Euro 2020, that you attend England friendlies and qualifiers in order to build your caps level and subsequently improve your chances of being allocated a ticket.
