A cohort of coaches from the USA visit St. George's Park to participate in coaching and personal development conference.
Through the partnership between the LMA and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), 20 coaches from America participated in the five-day event.
Partners since 2015, the LMA and NSCAA work together to use the experiences and insights offered through the LMA membership from the professional game in England to help inspire and provide unique learning opportunities.

Utilising the framework of learning developed through the LMA Institute of Leadership and High Performance, the 20 coaches experienced the following:

  • A coaching clinic and Q&A with LMA ambassador Alan Pardew at St. George's Park
  • A coaching clinic and Q&A with LMA ambassador Mike Phelan at Derby County's training ground
  • A leadership masterclass with Michael Caulfield of Sporting Edge
  • A Q&A with LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson and LMA ambassador Gary Rowett
  • A private dining experience and Q&A with Burnley manager Sean Dyche at the Hilton Hotel, St. George’s Park
  • A health & welbeing masterclass with Dr Dorian Dugmore and John Sunderland Wright
  • A resilience masterclass with Dr David Fletcher of Sporting Edge
  • A trip to watch the Premier League game between Everton and West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park

LMA Chief Executive Richard Bevan said: "The LMA is delighted to have been able to work together with the NSCAA to create this coaching conference, providing truly unique learning opportunities to aspiring coaches of all levels from the United States.

"There is a huge volume of experience and insight available through the LMA membership that can be priceless for amateur and professional coaches alike. We will be delivering more coaching conferences like this both at home and internationally.

"Thank you to the NSCAA for their enthusiasm and support and thank you to all the delivery partners that helped make this week the success it was."
