Singer Ed Sheeran gets his hands on Emirates FA Cup trophy

Sheeran bumped into the Emirates FA Cup trophy when he visited the BBC Radio 1 studio

The Emirates FA Cup trophy visited the BBC Radio 1 studios on Friday morning, bumping into none other than Ed Sheeran along the way.

The singer was at the station to launch his new singles, following a year away from the music industry.

To mark the third round of The Emirates FA Cup, listeners of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show had the chance to win tickets for May's final.

Former England striker and BBC pundit Alan Shearer took the famous trophy along with him, and Sheeran couldn't help but get his hands on it:
