It has been quite a year for the England Women’s team – who finished 2017 as the number one side in Europe.
After a slow start in La Manga, which encompassed a defeat by Norway and a goalless draw with Sweden, the Lionesses soon moved through the gears.
They registered an historic victory over World Cup holders USA at the SheBelieves Cup and later stormed through to the semi-finals of Euro 2017.
England opened their World Cup qualifying campaign with three wins from three and they sit second in Group 1, one point behind Wales but with a game in hand.
