Three Lions show respects with two-minute silence on Armistice Day

Friday 11 Nov 2016

England's senior and under-21 teams fell silent at their respective bases on Friday morning to mark Armistice Day.

Gareth Southgate's side headed into the grounds of The Grove, Hertfordshire, where they are preparing for tonight's World Cup qualifier against Scotland

At the same time, the Young Lions – who beat Italy in Southampton last night – took part in the two-minute silence in Hampshire.

England's players will wear armbands bearing poppies for this evening's game at Wembley Stadium, where there will also be a period of silence accompanied by The Last Post.
