Corinthian-Casuals have had their appeal rejected

An FA Appeal Board has today [Friday 22 April 2016] dismissed an appeal from Corinthian-Casuals in relation to a decision by the Isthmian Football League to deduct the club three points for fielding a suspended player.

The charge, which the club admitted, was in relation to Corinthian’s Isthmian League Division One South fixture against Faversham Town FC on 16 January 2016, Corinthian won 3-1. The League issued a sanction of a deduction of the three points gained from the fixture, a fine of £100 and ordered that the relevant match was not to be replayed.

Corinthian appealed to The FA on the grounds that the League came to a decision to which no reasonable such body could have come to; and/or imposed a penalty, award, order or sanction that was excessive.

However, this claim was dismissed by The FA Appeal Board on both grounds and the full decision of the Isthmian Football League remains in place.
