The Emirates FA Cup third round kicks off on Friday 8 January

Liverpool's trip to Exeter City will open up the Emirates FA Cup third round weekend at 7.55pm on Friday 8 January, in front of the BBC Match of the Day cameras.

Jurgen Klopp's side, who last year won at AFC Wimbledon at the same stage, will take on the Grecians, who are 11th in League Two.

The two outfits last met in 2011, when the Reds won 3-1 in the League Cup second round.

Exeter beat Didcot Town and Port Vale without conceding a goal to reach this stage, faring considerably better than in their last campaign, when they were knocked out in the first round by Warrington Town in another Friday night televised fixture.

The Saturday lunchtime fixture pits another League Two home side against Premier League opposition, with Wycombe Wanderers taking on Aston Villa, live on BT Sport (kick-off 12.45pm).

Then at 5.30pm, Manchester United play host to Sheffield United, also to be screened live on BT Sport.

Highlights: Exeter 2-0 Port Vale

On Sunday, BT Sport will screen Chelsea's home clash with either Leyton Orient or Scunthorpe United – who replay on Tuesday 15 December –  which kicks-off at 2pm.

BBC will then televise the all-Premier League clash between eight-times winners Tottenham Hotspur and table-topping Leicester City (kick-off 4pm). The fixture is a repeat of last season's fourth round meeting, when Leicester won 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

The FA live broadcast fee for each fixture is £144,000 per club, while all third round winning sides receive £67,500 from The FA prize fund.
