The England team were back in training at St. George's Park on Tuesday morning as they build-up for Friday's World Cup send-off against Peru at Wembley.

After last week's training camp in Portugal and a weekend off with their families, Roy Hodgson's men arrived at the national football centre to continue their preparations for Brazil.

Tuesday's session, which was part-open to the media and competition winners from England Team sponsor Vauxhall, was the first of three high-intensity practices this week with the Peruvians in their mind.

There were 23 of Hodgson's 25-man squad in action - James Milner missing through illness while Leighton Baines had a family commitment.

While there was a light drizzle in the air, the weather in Staffordshire was mild, but the players still wrapped up. All wore Nike trousers and rain jackets, while some also opted for hats and gloves.

The added layers are with a view to the hot and humid conditions in Manaus, where England kick-off their Finals campaign against Italy on 14 June.

The team will remain at St. George's Park and will train everyday before heading down to London for Friday's game - their last on home soil ahead of the World Cup.
