Carter, Rose, Christiansen in U23 squad for La Manga

Arsenal youngster Danielle Carter has been included in the Under-23 squad

Danielle Carter, Jemma Rose, Isobel Christiansen and Rachel Daly have all been included in the England Women’s Under-23 squad for next month’s La Manga Tournament.

The quartet were involved with the senior team for the annual January training camp in southern Spain.

And they have been drafted in to Kay Cossington’s 18-strong group for this Under-23 friendly tournament.

 

La Manga schedule

v Sweden, 5pm GMT, 1 March
v Germany, 3pm GMT, 3 March
v Japan, 3pm GMT, 5 March

 

 

There is a first call-up for Notts County defender Amy Turner, while five players helped the U19s win a silver medal at last year’s European Championship finals.

The Young Lions face a stern examination with Sweden, Germany and Japan laying in wait.
