Tito Vilanova passed away after a long battle with cancer
England manager Roy Hodgson has paid tribute to former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova, who has died following a long battle with cancer.
He said: "It's deeply saddening to hear of the passing of Tito Vilanova.
"My thoughts and sympathies go to his family at this very difficult time."
Vilanova stepped down as Barcelona coach in July 2013 to continue treatment after suffering a relapse.
He passed away on Friday aged 45.
