An independent regulatory commission has confirmed that Wigan Athletic’s James McClean has had his three-match suspension for violent conduct withdrawn.
The Latics winger was dismissed in added time of Wigan’s Championship fixture against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
McClean was successful in his appeal against the red card and is now available for his side's next Championship fixture against Charlton Athletic on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday’s Jose Semedo will serve a three-match suspension after an independent regulatory commission dismissed his red card appeal.
Semedo was sent off for serious foul play in the Owls’ Championship fixture against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.
The three-match suspension will begin with immediate effect.
