Manchester United twins Will and Michael Keane have completed loan moves to Wigan Athletic and Derby County respectively - and could line up against one another on Sunday.

For Will Keane - who suffered a serious knee injury in May 2012 - the move represents the next step on the long road to recovery.

The striker has been involved in reserve team action for Manchester United, and also trained with England Under-21s earlier this month, after being invited by Gareth Southgate to join the squad during their preparations for the Euro qualifier with Finland.

Now the 20-year-old will be aiming to get some competitive action under his belt by linking up with Owen Coyle’s Championship outfit.

Meanwhile, brother Michael has also left Old Trafford on a temporary basis to sign for Derby County until January.

And in an interesting twist to the tale, the two clubs are set to meet in the Championship at the DW Stadium this weekend.

Will joins Old Trafford and England team-mate Nick Powell at the DW Stadium with his fellow forward currently there on a season-long loan.

Meanwhile Michael, will be getting first-team experience by joining fellow Under-21 international Andre Wisdom at Derby County until 2 January 2014.

Central defender Michael has been in impressive form with Southgate's team this season, scoring three goals in England's first six Euro qualifying games.

He enjoyed a similar spell in the Championship last season with Derby's near-neighbours Leicester City.

Will has been a regular for England since U16 level and helped the Young Lions to the U17 Euro Championship title in 2010.

But his progress was hit when he fell awkwardly while playing against Switzerland at Preston North End’s Deepdale in a Euro qualifier for Noel Blake’s U19s last year.

Michael represented Republic of Ireland at U17 and U19 level before switching his international allegiance to England last year, when he was a key part of Noel Blake's U19 side who reached the semi-final of the European Championship.

Both players are likely to go straight into their respective squads for the Sunday meeting at the DW Stadium.
