The clue's in the name. Our inspiration has been the thousands of casual games you can see any given weekend, where a group of people, a patch of land and a ball add up to a game. Tackling, passing, scoring and being sociable all sit very loosely within a session that's less about teams and rules, and more about the love of the game.
The kickabouts will be taking place at Just Play centres, sports centres, football pitches, five-a-side centres, community centres, colleges or universities near you.
Times will vary from one centre to another and across the country. Use the search area below to find a centre near you. Although you'll find that kickabouts tend to take place on the same day and same time each week you don't have to commit to a weekly game. Keeping it casual is what Just Play is all about.
They're for everyone who, for one reason or another has stopped playing or has ever wanted to play football. So if it's a good old-fashioned kickabout you're looking for, the people at Snickers and The FA have made it as easy a 'one-two' to turn up and start playing the way that suits you.
Qualified Just Play organisers will be on hand to structure the session and keep it fun.
Most sessions will last for about an hour, but you're free to play for as much or as little of that as you want to.
It'll vary by centre but an average kickabout will have about 15-20 players.
Not many. If you're a man or a woman over 16, you're in. Some centres will have additional criteria that will come up in the ‘session notes’ on this website.
It only takes a few minutes. Enter your postcode and the kind of football you're looking for below in the ‘find football near you’ search area. Once you have found the kickabout of your choice, you’ll be able to log in and book your place. You will then receive an email confirming your place.
You'll be greeted by a Just Play organiser, who'll introduce the group to one another, run through how the kickabout will be structured and a few ground rules that make sure everyone has a safe and fun time.
This will vary depending on the centre and the size of the group, but typically it'll range from between £1-4. We need to charge this small amount to cover organisational costs.
No. In the spirit of keeping things simple and flexible you can pay when you arrive at the session
The most important thing is your enthusiasm. Other than that we recommend a set of shin pads, comfortable footwear and a bottle of water to keep you hydrated. Kickabouts at some Just Play centres may specify what to bring & these will be listed in the ‘session notes’ when booking your kickabout.
You can simply log in and cancel your booking and this message will be passed on to the Just Play organiser.
On the rare occasion that this happens you will receive an email to let you know about. Likewise if there are any changes to the session details you will receive an email informing you of this.

All of our Just Play organisers are qualified in first aid, so they'll be able assess your injury and sort you out with some basic treatment. If needs be they'll refer you to your doctor or a local hospital for further medical attention.

Not at all. The idea behind Just Play is that you can fit it in around all your other commitments and play as much or as little as you want.
