Nominations for The FA's official charity partner open

The application process to be The FA's new charity partner is now open
Tap into the power of football and help raise money for good causes close to your heart by applying to become The FA’s official charity partner. 

The Football Association’s application process to be nominated is now open, with the successful charity joining forces with the governing body until August 2016. 

In order to be considered, your charity must:-

- Be a UK registered charity with a national reach.
- Be aligned to one or more of: sport, health, youth, education, social inclusion. 
- Use the partnership to create a tangible and lasting legacy. 
- Provide volunteering opportunities for FA staff. 
- Have an account manager to handle the partnership. 

Applications should be no more than a two-page A4 proposal, answering the following questions:- 

- What is the problem your charity is aiming to address?
- How will a partnership with The FA deliver a solution?
- Why your organisation is uniquely placed to offer this solution?
- What can you achieve with the support of The FA that you couldn’t without it?
- What will your fundraising target be and how will the funds be utilised?
- How will you ensure a sustainable legacy?
- What would a calendar year of activity look like?
- How will this partnership engage with FA staff and the wider football community? 

How would you benefit from being The FA’s Official Charity? 

- A six-figure funding donation from The FA Community Shield. 
- A commitment from FA employees to ‘match fund’ through their own fund raising initiatives. 
- A schedule of rights, including unique association with an England Men’s senior international which will allow your charity to raise awareness of your work and will provide additional fundraising opportunities. 

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 1 July 2014 and they should be sent in confidence to: Amreeta Bola, Corporate Affairs Officer, The Football Association, either by e-mail or post to: facharities@TheFA.com or Wembley Stadium, PO Box 1966, London SW1P 9EQ. 

FA staff will shortlist the charities of their choice and the successful applicant will be asked to present their idea to The FA Community Shield Distribution Committee at the end of July. 

One charity will be selected and the successful applicant will be informed by Friday 1 August 2014. The partnership will run up to August 2016.
