England will be the only nation at EURO 2016 to be represented by two sets of officials in France this summer.

UEFA revealed the list of referees and assistant referees on Tuesday and a total of 12 officials from England will be involved during June and July.

And there will be plenty of top level experience making the short trip with both Martin Atkinson and Mark Clattenburg nominated as the two referees.

Their regular Premier League assistants Mike Mullarkey, Steve Child, Simon Beck and Jake Collin will also be there and Michael Oliver, Craig Pawson, Anthony Taylor and Andre Marriner are listed as additional assistant referees.

Further representation comes in the shape of reserve assistants Gary Beswick and Stuart Burt, who will be called upon should any of the other officials have to withdraw before the tournament.

The Euros kick-off on 10 June when hosts France face Romania at the Stade de France in Paris, the same venue where the competition ends with the Final on 10 July.

Speaking about the appointments, FA Chairman Greg Dyke said: "It is a unique honour for The FA and English football to have two refereeing teams at the finals. Once again, English refereeing has been recognised at the very highest level after several recent appointments for major finals.

"I congratulate Mark, Martin and their teams on their appointments and am confident they will rise to the occasion in France. I am also sure their achievements will help inspire the next generation of match officials and all of our efforts to get more young people involved in this side of the game."

David Elleray, Chairman of the FA Referees’ Committee, added: "The announcement of the two English referee teams for UEFA EURO 2016 in France confirms that England will be represented by ten of the country’s top referees and assistant referees.

"The teams, led by Martin Atkinson and Mark Clattenburg, are exceptionally strong and will be supported by two ‘reserve’ assistant referees, who will be ready to step in should one of the four selected assistants become ill or injured before the tournament starts.

"The FA Referees’ Committee is delighted that UEFA has recognised the very high level of performances of the selected officials and very much hopes that, subject to the progress of the England team, one or both of the teams will be involved not just in the group stages but also in the later stages of the knock-out phase."
