England train ahead of first game of new season

Roy Hodgson's England team trained on Monday morning as they build-up for their first game of the season.

The Three Lions meet Norway at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday and Hodgson's 22-man squad joined up together on Sunday night to prepare.

After a busy weekend of Premier League action, a number of players took part in a recovery session, while four others - Gary Cahill, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danny Rose and Jack Colback  - were resting minor injuries picked up for their clubs.

There were 13 players in action out on the pitch at London Colney - Arsenal's training centre - as England look ahead to two games in the next week.

Following Wednesday's encounter with Norway, the Three Lions head to Basel where they will open their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign against Switzerland on Monday.
