Gillingham FC and Colchester United FC sanctioned

An independent Regulatory Commission has sanctioned Gillingham FC and Colchester United FC for the mass confrontation that occurred at their EFL League Two fixture on Monday 29 December 2025.
 
It was alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or technical area staff did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way after the final whistle.
 
Gillingham FC and Colchester United FC subsequently admitted the charge against them. The Regulatory Commission imposed a £9,000 fine on both clubs, and their written reasons for these decisions can be seen below/attached.
