The Emirates FA Cup fourth round burst into life on the opening evening as Pedro Neto bagged a brilliant hat-trick during Chelsea’s dominant 4-0 win against Hull City.
The Portuguese broke the deadlock with a wonderfully whipped opener before finding the net direct from a corner for his second.
Estêvão also got his name on the scoresheet before Neto completed his treble to give Liam Rosenior’s side a four-goal triumph on Humberside.
Elsewhere, Wrexham came out on top in their all-Championship clash with Ipswich Town.
Josh Windass’s flick gave the Welsh side a hard-fought 1-0 win and a place in the fifth round for the first time since 1996-97.
Magnificent Neto sends Chelsea on their way
After both sides exchanged early warning shots at the MKM Stadium, Chelsea went on to create a string of gilt-edged first-half opportunities, but were initially unable to find the net.
Following Moises Caicedo’s excellent through ball, Alejandro Garnacho’s shot from the left of the penalty area was saved well by Dillon Phillips, with Neto thwarted by John Egan when following up.
Estêvão was next to go close on 18 minutes, but the Brazilian couldn’t add the required finish – firing over the bar - after seemingly doing all the hard work of bringing a high ball under control and then rounding Phillips.
Liam Delap thought he had broken the deadlock when he closed down Phillips’ clearance, but the ball didn’t cross the line after cannoning off the bar, with the striker then failing to score from the rebound.
But after a series of near misses, Neto finally breached Hull’s defence with five minutes remaining of the first half as he exquisitely fired into the corner of the net from 20 yards out.

Neto then grabbed his second six minutes after the break when his wicked in-swinging corner crept past Phillips at the near post.
Things got better for the visitors eight minutes later when, after Delap showcased his pace and power to get in behind the Tigers’ back line, Estêvão was on hand to coolly finish from the layoff.
The Premier League outfit continued to maintain a tight grip on proceedings and with 19 minutes remaining, Neto completed his hat-trick, slotting past Phillips after Delap created the chance – his third assist of the evening.
Despite the deficit, Hull continued to search for a consolation, but Lewis Koumas saw his close-range shot tipped onto the post by Robert Sanchez late on.
Wrexham edge past Ipswich
Wrexham made the brighter start at STōK Cae Ras and and almost found themselves in front after just 47 seconds when Alex Palmer denied Josh Windass before stopping Sam Smith getting to the loose ball on the follow up.
It was then Ipswich’s turn to come close to an opener, but Chuba Akpom was unable to guide his header towards goal after being found at the far post.
Windass kept pressing for a breakthrough for the hosts but his shot through a crowd of players was straight at Palmer.
But the 32-year-old wasn’t to be denied as he gave Wrexham their reward when he diverted home Ryan Longman's dangerous cross.

Ollie Rathbone thought he’d doubled Wrexham’s lead, but Palmer produced a stunning save to keep the score 1-0 going into the break.
The second half proved to be a nervy 45 minutes as Ipswich searched for an equaliser, but the Tractor Boys couldn’t breach Phil Parkinson’s side’s defence with Jack Clarke somehow unable to turn the ball home from a late corner.
