Nominee

Mic and Shirley Sharrod

Mic and Shirley Sharrod founded Lichfield Diamonds Ladies FC in 1991 after finding that there were no local girls teams for their daughters to safely play and enjoy the game. Since then, the club has grown into one of the largest in Staffordshire and the Midlands, featuring teams in age groups from under-8s to adults with more than 100 players, helping the club become the first all female club to achieve Charter Standard status in the county. Mic and Shirley have helped raise funds for the club to enjoy tours in Belgium, Netherlands and the USA to experience different footballing cultures and styles to help improve the club even further.
