Noel Blake has named his squad for next month's game with Denmark in Doncaster.

The England U19 Head Coach has selected an 18-man group for the fixture, as he plans for May's Elite Qualifying Round in Belgium.

The Young Lions face Belgium, Georgia and Scotland in the qualifiers, with only one team from the four progressing to the summer's Euro Finals in Lithuania.

So Blake will be taking this chance to look at his players, and with another game scheduled for March, he expects competition for places to be fierce by the time the qualifiers come around.

He said: "It’s certainly a strong and experienced year group when everyone is available

"We are quite an experienced squad with the likes of Eric Dier, Hallam Hope, Nathan Redmond, John Lundstrum and Nathaniel Chalobah all playing in last year’s U19s European Championship Finals in Estonia.

"There is good competition for places in the squad and the ever-increasing depth of talent means there are a lot of players who can consider themselves unlucky not to be selected.

"As I have said before, it’s a nice problem to have and one that we would like to have all the time."

Most of Blake's squad for this game have already been capped at U19 level and below, but there is one new face in the shape of Northampton Town goalkeeper Dean Snedker.

The Squad

Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford (Sunderland), Dean Snedker (Northampton Town).

Defenders: Tyler Blackett (Manchester United), Eric Dier (Sporting Lisbon), Greg Leigh (Manchester City)**, Jack O'Connell (Blackburn Rovers), John Stones (Barnsley), Jordan Willis (Coventry City).

Midfielders: Lewis Baker (Chelsea)*, Calum Chambers (Southampton), John Lundstram (Everton), Nathan Redmond (Birmingham City), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton).

Forwards: Chuba Akpom (Arsenal), Jacob Murphy (Norwich City), Josh Murphy (Norwich City), Dominic Samuel (Colchester United, on loan from Reading). Blair Turgott (Bradford City, on loan from West Ham United).

* Replaces Max Clayton (Crewe Alexandra) who is withdrawn.
** Replaces Daniel Potts (West Ham United) who is withdrawn.
