England U17s Head Coach
John Peacock has named his squad for next month's Algarve Tournament in the south of Portugal.
The annual competition sees the Young Lions face three games in fives days against top opposition in the shape of the host nation, France and the Netherlands.
With the UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Qualifying Round coming up in late March, the Tournament is seen by Peacock and his staff as ideal preparation for the players and also a chance to examine potential squad selection for the qualifiers which will be held in Georgia and also contain Spain and Ukraine.
There are five new faces in the squad for the trip, with Derby County midfielder
Will Hughes, Southampton's
Calum Chambers and Portsmouth defender
Adam Webster involved in an England squad for the first time, whilst strikers
Mason Bennett from Derby and
Adam Campbell from Newcastle receive their first U17 call-ups after impressing for the U16s in 2011.
The Algarve Tournament has served the U17s well in previous seasons with last year's squad finishing second in the competition and then going on to reach the
semi-final of the Euros and the
quarter final of the World Cup in Mexico.
In 2010, after
winning the Algarve Tournament, Peacock then led his charges to the
European U17 Championship title in Liechtenstein.
