The top two teams in last season’s FA WSL 1, Chelsea and Man City, will face each other in the semi-finals of the SSE Women’s FA Cup.

The two sides met at the semi-final stage last year.

Meanwhile, 13-time winners Arsenal will take on Sunderland in a repeat of the 2009 Final.

Semi-Final draw

Arsenal v Sunderland
Chelsea v Manchester City

Ties to take place on Sunday 17 April

Both semi-finals will take place on Sunday 17 April.

The draw was conducted by England Women’s boss Mark Sampson and assistant coach Marieanne Spacey at St. George’s Park, during a break in the Lionesses’ preparations for their Euro 2017 qualifying double-header against Belgium and Bosnia.

This season, for the first time in the competition’s history, the draws were conducted in front of a captive audience at schools in Brent and Doncaster and in front of the England squad at the national football centre.

Emma Hayes’s Chelsea are the Cup holders, having defeated Notts County 1-0 in last season’s Final at Wembley Stadium.

Alan Young, SSE’s head of corporate affairs, said: "This hugely exciting draw brings us one step closer to the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.

"With tickets now on sale, we would encourage people to book in advance and take advantage of the exceptional value for money to see the very best of women’s football.

"We wish our four semi-finalists the very best of luck."

This year’s Final takes place at Wembley on Saturday 14 May and thanks to The FA's partnership with SSE, all children will be able to attend for free.

Adult tickets are priced £15 and group bookings and charter standard discounts are also available.

Tickets for The Final are on sale now via TheFA.com/Tickets or by calling 0844 826 2010.
