Jo Potter says England have the bit between their teeth as they look to kick-on in UEFA Euro 2017 qualifying.

The Lionesses entertain Belgium in Rotherham on Friday night before flying to Zenica to take on Bosnia next Tuesday.

Mark Sampson’s side have won both their qualifiers so far; an 8-0 win over Estonia in September, in which Potter scored [below], and a 1-0 win over Bosnia in November.

And the midfielder believes her team-mates, ranked fourth in the world, are ready to take control of Group 7 with two dominant wins over the next week.

Potter said: "We did pretty well against the best teams in the world last month and it would be easy to rest on our laurels so it’s good to have six points to focus on.

"We know we have been doing well, and maybe we deserved slightly better results recently, but now is a chance for us to put that right.

"These are the games we have to stamp our authority on. It would be nice for us to score a few goals in terms of what it would do for our confidence at this stage of the season.

"You always keep an eye on what other teams are doing and if we can get a couple of good wins under our belts this week, maybe we can make people take note.

"We need to show that we are performing on a consistent basis and that we are not letting up. We’re not going sit back and accept what we’ve achieved so far.

"We want to push on and keep growing."

This is the first time Potter has been included in the Lionesses squad since a friendly tournament in China last October, where she played against the host nation and Australia.

The Birmingham City stalwart missed out on a friendly in Germany and the victory over Bosnia in Bristol.

But she is back in the fold and eager to make her mark again.

"It’s nice to come back into things at the start of the season," said Potter.

"You’re always on your toes and every training session counts.

"You can’t afford to have many off days; you can be in the starting eleven one minute and out the next, such is the strength of the squad.

"We all know that Mark will pick a team to win a certain match and that’s not a bad thing.

"I actually think it’s a great thing for the group because we’re all doing our best to be selected, and it has been no different this week."

Tickets for the Belgium game are priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) priced £10 is also available.

Tickets can be bought via TheFA.com/Tickets, by calling 08444 140 754 or in person at the Rotherham United ticket office.
