Roy Hodgson believes Mark Sampson's side will be good value on 23 November
Roy Hodgson has urged England fans to Wembley next month, where they can cheer on Mark Sampson’s Women’s team.

The Three Lions boss is already planning for his own side’s game at the famous venue when they face Slovenia on 15 November.

But it is on Sunday 23 November when England Women make history by playing their first-ever game under the arch when Germany are the visitors.

"I’m sure they’ll love playing at Wembley," said Hodgson.

"It’s great that we’ve been able to put this game on, especially against a nation like Germany who have been world and European champions."

The match is an important part of Sampson’s preparations for next summer’s FIFA World Cup in Canada, after winning all ten games in their qualifying campaign.

And with two-time world champions Germany also focusing on another attempt at winning the title, Hodgson thinks it should be an interesting encounter for any football fans.

"We have a very good team ourselves so it will be a very exciting game for both our girls and the German girls," he added.

"They will enjoy going out at Wembley and we hope there will be a big crowd for the game and people will turn up to watch them play.

"They’ll be surprised if they haven’t seen them before at the level of play."

Tickets for the game are on sale at just £15 for adults and £1 for children and can be purchased via TheFA.com/Tickets or by calling 0844 826 2010.
