Women's Player of the Year 2014 contender: Chamberlain

Siobhan Chamberlain kept four clean sheets in her five England appearances in 2014.

The 31-year-old’s first game of the year was the 2-0 defeat of Italy in the Cyprus Cup.

Chamberlain also played in the 2-0 win over Canada in the same competition before featuring in the defeat to France in the final.

But she was quickly over that loss and started the next two matches, World Cup qualifying wins over Montenegro and Ukraine – and she made a fine early save against Montenegro when the score was just 1-0.
