England winger Raheem Sterling was back among the goals on Liverpool's pre-season tour of the USA as the Reds beat Olympiakos by 1-0 in Chicago.

The 19-year-old, who scored ten goals for Brendan Rodgers' side last season, didn't take long to find his touch again as he latched onto a deflected shot from England and Liverpool team-mate Daniel Sturridge to lift the ball home from close range.

Sturridge was also in action for Liverpool on Sunday evening

And that proved to be enough to secure victory for Liverpool, who also had recently-retired England captain Steven Gerrard in action.

There were also starting spots for their Three Lions' World Cup squad-mates Glen Johnson and Jordan Henderson, before striker Rickie Lambert came on in the second half.

England Under-21s defender Jack Robinson played the full second half, whilst U19s winger Jordon Ibe replaced Sterling in the 75th minute as Liverpool continue to prepare for the new campaign.

Manchester City were also in action on Sunday in the USA, beating AC Milan in Pittsburgh by an impressive 5-1, with former Under-21s striker Scott Sinclair getting himself on the scoresheet in that game.

That match also saw substitute appearances for England internationals Jack Rodwell and Micah Richards and former U19s left-back Greg Leigh came on in the 77th minute.
