Aidy Boothroyd believes Andorra could prove a potential banana skin for his Young Lions on Tuesday.
The U21s squad round-off October’s fixtures with a trip to the Pyrenees as they aim to solidify their position at the top of their qualifying group.
And even though their hosts are seen as one of the smaller international teams, Boothroyd has watched enough of them to know that they won’t be one of those who are happy to sit and defend.
“We’ve seen them a couple of times remotely,” he said.
“They want to play so it’s one of those games and it’s a massive banana skin.
“If we don’t play well and score loads of goals, people will say we haven’t played very well. It’s one of those things where you worry until you get the result – it’s a difficult one.
“I know some teams have gone there and scored loads of goals, others have struggled.”
The squad travelled to Andorra on Sunday to start acclimatising to the higher altitude, following on from last week’s 3-1 victory over Scotland in Middlesbrough.
