England U17s get their Euro campaign underway later this month with the First Qualifying Round taking place in Armenia.
Head Coach John Peacock has named an 18-man squad for the trip, which sees the Young Lions take on the host nation, Republic Of Ireland and international newcomers Gibraltar.
It will be the first time this year group of players has faced a competitive UEFA set of fixtures, with three matches in five days and only two of the four nations involved will progress to the Elite Qualifying Round next spring.
With the Euro Finals being held in Malta in May, Peacock will be hoping his squad can overcome the first leg of their competitive fixtures and he’s been able to select a squad with plenty of experience at U16 and U17 level.
The likes of Isaiah Brown and Joseph Gomez had already featured for Peacock’s side last season and many of their squad-mates were involved in the U17 International Tournament in Burton earlier this summer.
There is also a call-up for last season's U16s captain and Liverpool midfielder Jordan Rossiter, but the squad are without Arsenal midfielder Dan Crowley who is suspended after his red card against Slovenia in last season’s Elite Round fixtures.
England take on Armenia first on Thursday 24 October, before they play Gibraltar two days later in what will be the first international meeting between the two nations.
The final game on Tuesday 29 October sees Republic Of Ireland in opposition before the squad return home.
