Since reopening, we have welcomed around 180 students each week to the Learning Zone during term time

Our Learning Zone at Wembley Stadium connected by EE has undergone a full refurbishment.

The Learning Zone, which was first launched nine years ago, is a versatile space within Wembley Stadium which continues to provide a vital and vibrant hub for community programmes throughout the year.

For over nine years, our Learning Zone has welcomed schools from across the London Borough of Brent, as well as the wider UK, delivering engaging and inspiring workshops that connect students with the unique environment of the national stadium.

At the end of 2025, we began an ambitious refurbishment project to ensure the Learning Zone reflects the heritage and ambition of Wembley Stadium. The transformation included installing brand-new flooring, lighting upgrades, refreshed furniture, and bespoke mural artwork celebrating the vibrancy and rich heritage of Wembley Stadium and its community. New technology has also been implemented, including new TV’s and iPads to support a wide range of educational programmes.

The result of these upgrades is a more contemporary, inclusive and welcoming environment, designed to support both internal colleagues and the communities we serve. Since reopening, we have welcomed around 180 students each week to the Learning Zone during term time as part of our educational programme, which was delivered in collaboration with Brent Council and the Wembley Stadium Foundation.

Students have been able to take part in workshops themed around music and careers at Wembley Stadium, and each visit includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium. A teacher who recently visited the Learning Zone described it as: “An excellent and inspiring experience at Wembley Stadium for children, with outstanding music teaching throughout.”

The Learning Zone is also the home of our weekly Dementia Memory Café, which we deliver in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society. Every Wednesday afternoon, we welcome local residents living with dementia, those concerned about dementia, and their carers. The café continues to provide a safe, supportive and social environment, with activities including singing workshops and seated exercise sessions. FA colleagues regularly volunteer their time to support the café, chatting with guests, assisting with activities and helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The refreshed Learning Zone reflects our commitment to being more than a stadium. It is a space where children and young people are inspired, community connections are strengthened and colleagues come together.
