For nearly a decade, the Learning Zone has provided a community hub at Wembley Stadium. It has welcomed schools from across Brent and the wider UK, delivering engaging and inspiring workshops that connect students with the unique environment of the stadium.
But now, it’s had a major refurbishment, ensuring the Learning Zone reflects the heritage and ambition of Wembley Stadium in a contemporary, inclusive and welcoming environment, designed to support both internal colleagues and the communities we serve.
Since reopening, the Learning Zone has welcomed around 180 students per week during term time as part of our educational programme, delivered in collaboration with Brent Council and the Wembley Stadium Foundation.
Students take part in workshops themed around music and careers at Wembley Stadium and each visit also includes a behind-the-scenes stadium tour.
One teacher recently shared: “An excellent and inspiring experience at Wembley Stadium for children, with outstanding music teaching throughout.”
The Learning Zone is also home to our weekly Dementia Memory Café, delivered in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society.
Every Wednesday afternoon, we welcome local residents living with dementia, those concerned about dementia, and their carers. The café provides a safe, supportive and social environment, with activities including singing workshops and seated exercise sessions.
FA colleagues regularly volunteer their time to support the café, chatting with guests, assisting with activities and helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The refreshed Learning Zone reflects our commitment to being more than a stadium. It is a space where children and young people are inspired, community connections are strengthened and colleagues come together.
